Abstract:
Introduction: In recent years the role of nurses has been very important in providing health care. Aim:The purpose of this review was to promote the importance of nurses' role. Method and Material: The methodology followed included reviews and research studies. The studies were carried out during the period 2000-2016 and were drawn electronic databases, (Google Scholar, Sciencedirect, EBSCO). Using the key-words: "expanded role”, "nurses”, "education”, "motivation” and also a combination of them. The studies that resulted were selected to be appropriate based on the purpose and the key words of the review. Results: A plethora of scientific research demonstrates the importance of the nursing role in advanced health care. The expanded nursing role is the basis for effective health care. Moreover, the expanded role of nurses is achieved through lifelong education and advanced practice. Concussions:The expanded nursing role contributes to job satisfaction and enhances the efficiency and quality of health care.
